I told you in the report card that Justin Tuck had the biggest game of any Giants defensive lineman, including Osi Umenyiora. Well, here's more proof. The league just named him the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week.
Tuck, bouncing outside and inside depending on the situation, finished the Redskins game with five tackles, 1 1/2 sacks, two tackles for losses, a pass defensed, and three hits on quarterback Jason Campbell. His most impressive play, however, was when he dropped Clinton Portis for a five-yard loss on first down from the Giants' 12, right after Eli Manning's interception in the third quarter.
Hard to believe, but this was Tuck's first Player of the Week award. Have a sneaking suspicion it won't be his last.
