So here's the practice video. But it's more important to note that Tom Coughlin is stressing fundamentals even more this week. As you'll see, the defensive backs practiced their tackling angles this morning, a problem Coughlin has seen in the past few games as one DB after another has missed tackles.
The gravity of this game against the Chargers, with the bye coming up, is not lost on him.
"The message really is that it's a one-game season for us," Coughlin said. "We have the bye coming up. If and when we do win, then obviously the bye can be something that really helps us, reinforces us, and gives us a lift when we need it."
And if they lose? How devestating would it be going into the bye on the heels of a four-game losing streak?
"I'm not talking about that," Coughlin said. "I'm not even going to respond to that one."

Back to Basics! Finally! I love General Tom but will be very upset if i see Dog Poop Brown anywhere near the field on passing downs. If he is it is not on Sheridan but Coughlin.
ReplyDeleteAny Boley/Canty sightings?
ReplyDeleteErnie,
1. If Boley DOESN'T start, is there any way we can contain Sproles and Tomlinson in the run game and Gates in the pass game? (nevermind that V-Jackson will be burning C.C. all day)
2. Tynes is lucky to get a kickoff past the 10 and our special teams is coming off a bad game in general. Is it fair to say that Sproles is going to KILL us in the return game? If Hixon doesn't show up, we're screwed in the field position battle.
