We've all been waiting anxiously for DT Chris Canty to re-emerge to provide that huge wingspan and pass rush in the middle of the Giants' defensive front. It may happen soon, though not immediately, according to Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger.
Garafolo reported last night that Canty has undergone a surgical procedure to stem the bleeding in his injured calf that was caused by unusually severe swelling. If all goes as planned, he could return in a few weeks. He'll probably miss at least one more game after New Orleans before he gets back to work.
