Here's an idea of just how dead the restricted free agent market is right now. With the April 15 deadline for signing a third-to-fifth-year veteran to an offer sheet looming, only one restricted free agent has changed teams.
That would be running back Mike Bell, who went to Philadelphia after the Saints refused to match the Eagles' offer sheet. As of now, 56 other restricted guys have signed tender offers from their old teams. That accounts for about a quarter of the restricted field.
Not appearing on that list is Oakland linebacker Kirk Morrison, an object of many's desire on this blog. Guess he's waiting on someone to hand him an offer sheet, which will probably go unmatched since Al Davis tendered him at the lowest level. Jerry Reese, maybe?
