Out Here

Here we are at Giants Stadium. Got some player access this morning, and in the afternoon Jerry Reese will lay out his draft plans for us (NOT!!!!)

At any rate, we'll try to get what we can out of the GM. Probably just a lot of generalities. But hey, it's the yearly dance we do with him. And if he does happen to spill the beans on No. 15, I'll have that unlikely event for you post haste.

And by the way, anyone rooting for the Giants to make a restricted free agent offer before today's deadline to Oakland's linebacker Kirk Morrison, forget it. He signed his third-round tender this morning.

    OK Ern, ask him about SPILLER or trading up and please and try to detect how fast he dismisses it or acts coy. I will be physched if he pays it no heed.

    I know Jerry and Jerry knows talent. I think he is licking his chops for a chance at Spiller.

    I'd also like to know the chances of Reese trading down as it's possible that the players coveted by the Giants may be gone by the time they make their selection.
