Collateral Damage

Not that there's a lot of Bucs fans on this blog, but here's some interesting fallout from Sunday. The Giants not only cost Tampa Bay quarterback Byron Leftwich his starting job, but also the No. 2 spot. Coach Raheem Morris pulled the trigger on that today, making the more mobile Josh Johnson the starter after he recorded four of his team's five first downs on the Bucs' final drive. Third quarterback Josh Freeman moves up to second.

My guess is they probably ended Leftwich's career. Two years too late, maybe, but ended just the same.

  1. He should stayed in Pittsburgh to back up Ben Roethlisberger.

  3. The Bucs should just go ahead and name the rookie Freeman the new starting QB. They aren't going anywhere as it is and the experience could do wonders for the rookie.

  4. Come on, you homers. You know the Giants are lucky to be 3-0. What a cupcake schedule! The Redskins can't beat the Lions. The Cowboys are soft and buttery in the middle (and on Tony Romo's fingers). And the Bucs might be the worst team in the NFL this season ... Oh wait, the Chiefs might be worse and you've got them NEXT!!! Then the Raiders? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Sure, you guys will be 5-0, but you'll be the worst 5-0 team in history. What a joke! Play somebody real, would you please??!?!?!?

  5. When your good, of course your schedule looks like a cupcake. By your own measurements, we play "soft and buttery" again - at home. The Lion's loser - again. Carolina who lost to "soft and buttery"...it just goes on and on.
