Since the players will be set free after Wednesday to spend the rest of the bye week as they desire, I'm going to run a live chat Thursday morning at 11 a.m. I think the live chat was a bit too late and people were literally out to lunch. I'm thinking the earlier hour will give those who want to participate a better chance to attend.
We'll go from 11 to 11:30, and the floor will be open to any and all questions.
Don't expect to hear from any of the players. A lot of them go home for the long weekend, and given their current woes, many will be just getting away from football to clear their heads and prepare for Atlanta.
"There's no right answer for 53 guys," center Shaun O'Hara said. "Everybody has their different needs and certain requests from family. For a lot of people that don't live around here, it's their one opportunity to spend time with people they don't see.
"I know some guys are going to travel and clear their heads. And some guys who stick around here are going to remove themselves mentally from football. It's an opportunity to reflect, and emotionally and mentally gear up for the second half of the season which is as important, if not more, than the first half."
We'll be reflecting, too. Right here on this blog.
