Some Injury News

Well, the good news out of today may be that both LB Michael Boley and DT Chris Canty are scheduled to practice Wednesday. Could be that we'll see them both against San Diego, and not a moment too soon as the Giants are desperately in need of returning some missing pieces to the defense.

Tom Coughlin made no promises about their availability, using the usual "We'll see," as to both's probabilities. But he did say CB Aaron Ross and his troublesome hamstring won't practice this week. "Maybe next week," Coughlin said.

As for Domenik Hixon (hip-pointer) and WR Sinorice Moss (foot), Coughlin said he'd have to wait until Wednesday to determine if they're in practice shape. Also, WR Mario Manningham has told Coughlin that he feels better, which means he, too, could be back to work after sitting inactive for the Eagles game.

We'll have more later.

  1. No word on Eli? The staff has to know that the fans are concerned. Hoping that Boley and Canty can come back without further injury. Now all TC needs to do is light a fire under this team. Let's get some optimism here!

Oh, and fire CC "Colossal Calamity" Brown! Watched replay again, dude got burned by a fullback!!! How can we expect him to keep up with a receiver?!?

Eli said heel is not an issue, and I tend to agree. He scrambled fine, and you can't blame the heel for him throwing into double coverage or making bad reads.

  4. If Boley can play that is HUGE. We really need him and his speed at LB to help contain Tomlinson and Sproles. Also BIG TIME help from him against Gates in the pass game who eats up LBs on a regular basis.

BUT, no Ross means no CB bodies to move back to safety.....which means more CC Brown and his deer in headlights reaction to deep routes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Brown starts again, I should just turn off the TV. The Turner air attack will have Jackson lighting up Brown allllll dayyyyyy looooong.

Something HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT C.C. THIS WEEK. I'm ready for Rouse or Rashad...untested or not, the coaches have to send a message that this type of performance from Brown is not tolerable.

3 pass heavy offenses in a row have exploited Brown. Have we learned our lesson and Ernie PLEASE tell me they have a plan to get Brown off the field even without Ross back!
