Yesterday, center Shaun O'Hara sat out because the ankle he injured during the offseason program unexpectedly swelled up. Today, he missed practice again and will undergo tests.
Meanwhile, WR Mario Manningham was slowed today by a sore groin, and TE Travis Beckum has a hamstring injury.
Just for kicks, tell me how you'd like to see Beckum used this year. Lots of divided opinion on what, exactly, he is -- tight end or H-back -- and whether he deserves more chances or not. As for me, I've always hated that H-back spot. It's a position that's neither here nor there, not quite a running back, not quite a tight end, and not used enough in general to make a lot of difference in the offense. I'd rather see the kid go as a pass-catching tight end myself.
