Free Agent Merry-Go-Round

It's 12:37 a.m., more than a half-hour into free agency, and here's what we know.

DE Julius Peppers is on his way to Chicago with Lovie Smith. Bet he makes that deal later today.

LB Karlos Dansby is heading to Miami. Be he doesn't leave that building without a contract, either.

S Antrel Rolle is visiting the Giants today. If his numbers are too high, he'll try someplace else. But not Chicago because, reportedly, they're not interested anymore.

And if you're afraid backup quarterback David Carr is on his way to greener fields, cross off Chris Redman. He just re-signed with the Falcons for two years, $5 million.

Vikings RB Chester Taylor is also visiting the Bears, but there's a bunch of other teams interested, possibly the Giants.

  1. I like Dansby going to the Dolphins and us getting Rolle versus the other way around. My head is spinning a bit because Rolle wasn't on my radar at all.

We still have a big hole to fill at MLB. However, the kid from the Raiders for a third rounder would be a great choice, I think. I'm not saying you don't draft as well to fill these holes but man that would be a big improvement over last year.

    Go Reese!
