Well, according to the National Football Post, Arizona linebacker Karlos Dansby may come off the market just after midnight, considering one of their sources indicates he's on his way to Miami. If it's true, he's probably not going down there for the nightclubs.
The Giants might not want to play in his ballpark, anyway, seeing he's looking for $30 million guaranteed. Pretty steep for a guy who's not considered a huge playmaker.
They could be in the running for RB Chester Taylor, however, though they'll have to fight off a slew of teams interested in the Vikings power runner.
We'll issue the usual caveat, however. Until something actually gets cooking, it's all rumors and suppositions as far as this blog is concerned. But hey, aren't we all having fun?

If he signs with the Dolphins at midnight...Dweez will lose his mind!

Chris - I suspect the deal will be done by midnight, but he won't sign until 3 or 4am. Can't make tampering THAT obvious. But, at least, this post proves I was not making it all up. I would like to see Dansby in NY, but not at $30 million guaranteed. If that's what Miami is offering, NY is better off to let him go south.
ReplyDeleteHi Dweez,
ReplyDeleteThanks for having a sense of humor!
I'm with you. While I would also like to see him in NY, I think there are smarter moves out there.

I forgot Chester is a FA. LETS DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteChester Taylor! Oh Happy Christmas morning. He'd be our #1 RB.
ReplyDeleteYou know Ern, if Dasby goes to the Dophins that means they don't take Ronaldo in the first round. He may just drop to us at 15! A scenario to consider anyways.

The Bears signing of Peppers and Taylor makes them the 3rd best team in their division...they were the 3rd best prior to the signing. They really need a wide receiver, and that still hasnt been addressed.
