Official Giants Tenders

The Giants made their tenders official a few minutes ago.

As reported, DT Barry Cofield, WR Domenik Hixon, and DE Dave Tollefson received second-round tenders. WR Sinorice Moss, WR Derek Hagan, G Kevin Boothe, T Guy Whimper, and LB Gerris Wilkinson received original round tenders. And S C.C. Brown received a right-of-first-refusal tender.

So, officially, bye-bye to CB Kevin Dockery and TE Darcy Johnson, though there's the possibility the Giants still have interest in bringing Johnson back.

Also receiving one-year qualifying offers were exclusive rights free agents CB D.J. Johnson, RB DJ Ware, and TE Scott Chandler.

  1. Alright Ernie, let me hear your opinion on this one:

For the second time in its mock draft SI has the Giants drafting McClain (who I think is a stud). Now Dansby is supposedly a pretty good OLB. So, obviously this is a lot of assumptions, since neither player is on the team, but:

Do you think Dansby could play strong, have Rolando in the middle and Boley weak. Or, if the Giants sign Dansby, do you think they avoid taking an LB in the first round?

  2. If they sign Dansby, they probably won't need a first-round linebacker. But I have a feeling McClain won't be available at any rate unless the Giants make a huge trade upward from No. 15.

  3. I say forget Dansby now and go after Morrison. For only a third rounder? I do that all day, everyday. Plus I'd use my money on Rolle. That combo would be a dream outcome in FA for the Giants IMO.

Use your 1 and 2 at Safety and DT then try to find value in the later rounds.

    Come on Reese!!!
