On Commenting

I heard your complaints about how difficult it was to comment on this blog, and I changed a setting from embedded comment to pop-up window, as per a problems blog I found. One other solution involved using Internet Explorer only, and not Firefox or Safari or Google Chrome.

See if that works. Send me a few comments here and tell me if there's any change.

  2. I don't know if that's any better, in fact it is probably worse, I don't see my comment and had to make extra clicks to get back here. Change it back Ern.

Do you use Internet Explorer? One of the entries on the problems blog said the comments tend to glitch everywhere EXCEPT on IE. If you can't comment smoothly on IE, then I'm afraid I'm at a total loss. The only help available is on this problems blog, and it's just blog users helping other blog users. No experts there, and no apparent way to get to an expert. Very frustrating. Sorry for the problems.

  4. As a Mac user, I can't use IE. I find the only way for me to be able to comment is to choose the name/url combo. Type Pad and the others just give me error messages.

  6. Have always used Mozilla/Firefox....Never a problem. I 86'd IE a long time ago.

  8. Spags is desperate for secondary help, Dockery is a veteran who can help on dime and nickel packages and doesn't cost you a thing.

We should be exploring a few of these options, like Ladell Betts, Fred Smoot..these guys are available without any compensation to their previous teams. The least one can do is bring them in and work them out.

  9. I think it's better, my post goes right to the page and after I submit I'm returned to the updated page, this is better than it was yesterday. I'm using Mozilla

  10. OK so I spoke too soon, the second comment did not post in the same way as the first. This would be a problem for carrying on any sort of dialogue/debate which is the strength of blogging
